The late E. Lisk Wyckoff Jr. was a serious collector of baseball memorabilia, more specifically N.Y. Yankees memorabilia. A lifelong fan of the sport, he had a special fascination with perfect games and went to great lengths to acquire symbolic keepsakes of one of baseball’s most elusive feats. According to his widow, Elizabeth, “Baseball was his international language. That was his way of relating to anyone, from the guy flipping burgers to the maître d’ at the finest restaurant in New York City.”
