No single sports memorabilia item inspires more awe than a bat used by Babe Ruth. For veteran hobbyists or casual fans, the allure of a bat wielded by Ruth, the ultimate tool of his trade, is unfailing. The magnetic Ruth was hailed as baseball’s savior, the man who ushered in the longball era and revitalized America’s beloved national pastime that had been mired in the bog of the 1919 Black Sox scandal.

In 1933, Ruth batted .301 and added 34 dingers. The Babe put on a show in the first All-Star Game in baseball history that summer when the inaugural event took place in Chicago, and he hit the first home run in All-Star Game history.

This Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with Ruth facsimile signature in the barrel measures 35″ long and weighs 36.3oz. The wood is not cracked and displays use throughout, including ball/contact marks on the hitting surface. A small mounting hole in the handle has been expertly repaired. A “Powerized Pat. Pending” logo beside the centerbrand matches the year 1933, and the specifications match factory records for that year. PSA GU 8.
