Perhaps the most prolific power hitter of the period, Harmon Killebrew registered more than 40 homers in a season six times in the decade and eight overall. Offered here is an amazing Killebrew 1967 Minnesota Twins road gray flannel jersey. The Spalding size 44 jersey shows consistent wear throughout and has no alterations of any kind. The “Killebrew” felt swatch is sewn into the collar.  “Killebrew 3 44 67” is chain stitched into the lower left front tail of the jersey, referring to Killebrew’s jersey number, size and year. The Spalding manufacturer’s tag is sewn in along with the wash tag and “Set 1 1967” flag tag attached. The offered jersey is an aesthetically appealing flannel with “TWINS” sewn on the front, Killebrew’s number “3” sewn on the back and the Twins team logo sewn on the left sleeve.

Killebrew wore this jersey for the final game of the 1967 season played on October 1, in which he went 2 for 2 with 2 walks and 2 runs scored. The Twins and Red Sox were tied atop the American League at 91-70 going into the game. Harmon did his part to carry the team, but the Twins fell 5-3 and the Red Sox went on to the World Series. The jersey is offered with a detailed Letter of Authenticity and direct photomatch showing Killebrew wearing this jersey for the game. Given the quality of use, this jersey was worn for many games throughout his 44 home run season in which he won his 5th of 6 home run titles. This is an excellent jersey from the prime of Killebrew’s Hall of Fame career, and was worn in one of the most pivotal and critical games he played in.
