Jesse Owens’ 1936 Olympics gold medal sells for record 1.4 Million Dollars

According to the Guardian, the Pittsburgh Penguins co-owner Ron Burkle paid 1,466,574 dollars, the highest price ever for a piece of Olympic memorabilia.
Burkle, who also owns William Faulkner’s 1949 Nobel Prize for literature medal, has plans for an educational tour of the historic pieces, the report said.
