SCP Auctions’ “Fall Premier” is underway and runs through Saturday, Dec. 6, at www.scpauctions.com. It features more than 1,150 lots including 14 showcasing various fight-worn memorabilia and coveted awards from retired boxer Terry Norris, the former three-time WBC and IBF Junior Middleweight Champion.

Norris, who turned pro in 1986, retired from the ring in 1998 after posting a record of 47-9 with 31 knockouts. He was elected to the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2005. He earned multiple titles during his distinguished career and some of his most prized memorabilia going up for auction includes his fight-worn, custom-made shoes from his Feb. 9, 1991, victory over Sugar Ray Leonard; his autographed WBC and IBF Junior Middleweight Championship belts; his autographed World Boxing Council Lifetime Achievement Award belt; and his 2005 International Boxing Hall of Fame 10K Gold ring.
In addition to the many awards he earned during his prolific career in the ring, Norris is also auctioning off some of his most noteworthy fight-worn boxing gloves from specific bouts including his Dec. 9, 1988, NABF Junior Middleweight Championship victory over Steve Little as well as his 1990 “Knockout of the Year” victory over John “The Beast” Mugabi to win the WBC Light Middleweight title.

“Terrible Terry” Norris is one fighter who lived up to his nickname, but outside the ring is another story. He and his wife, Tanya, recently started the Final Fight Foundation whose “mission is to serve as a catalyst for the under-served athletes in health and retirement assistance, during and after their careers.” Norris now suffers from Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE), Parkinsonism, and Dementia. A portion of the proceeds from his collection will go toward the Final Fight Foundation.
