Steve Garvey to auction off treasure trove

Known as the “Iron Man” for setting the National League record for most consecutive games played at 1,207, former Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres first baseman Steve Garvey turns out to be made of flesh and blood after all.
Last fall, the 64-year-old former NL MVP was diagnosed with prostate cancer and underwent surgery to remove the gland. He has been cancer free since then, but continues to be tested regularly.
